January 2012:

The city of Hamedan is located about 300 km in the west of Tehran, near the border to IRAK on the traditional trade route between Tehran und Bagdad.

Hamedan is one of the oldest cities in the Near East, surrounded by beautiful mountains, with a pleasant climate.

About 2500 years old laws were found here, carved into stone by the Persian kings Cyros and Xerxes.

On the city outskirts a monocable Gondola Ropeway was reconstructed.
